Avocado Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette

I have had several avocado-y, cilantro-y, lime-y salad dressings at various Mexican restaurants.  One in particular though, I love!  Actually, I’m obsessed with it.  I pretty much eat it on anything.  It’s from La Sirena Grill & it is bomb.com.  So I attempted a kind of copy-cat recipe of this Avocado Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette.  I say kind of because it’s not quite the same, but pretty darn close.  It is very delicious still, so I am quite please to have it in large quantities at my disposal.  Even though it has no dairy in it, it’s so creamy & thick because of the avocado.  Use it for a salad or on tacos

Avolantro-Lime Vinaigrette
  • ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • a pinch of minced garlic
  • juice of 1 orange
  • juice of 3 limes
  • 1 avocado
  • salt & pepper to taste (about ½ tsp of each)
  1. Combine all ingredients into a blender or food processor
  2. Puree until smooth
Store in an airtight container for up to a week



  1. Yum! This is delicious, thanks! I put in a whole clementine because it was too small to juice. I used it on taco salad, which was wonderful, and also as a dip for crackers (because it was so good I wanted to keep eating it!). :)
