Edible holiday gifts are among my favorite kind!  That’s why these Healthy & Toasted Spiced Nuts are perfect. People really appreciate you spending the extra time to make something yourself, plus they’re delicious (not to mention, there is no butter, oil or sugar used).

Spiced mixed Nuts

Ingredients
  • ½ cup flaxseed meal
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • 3 cups mixed nuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. Line a large cookie sheet with tin foil that wraps around edges
  3. Whisk first 7 ingredients together in a large bowl
  4. Toss mixture with nuts until evenly coated
  5. Spread nut mixture out on prepared cookie sheet in a single layer
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, tossing nuts about every 10 to prevent sticking
  7. Remove from oven & let them sit out to room temperature or serve warm
