Last year when I started this blog, I didn’t realize that I made my very first post on National S’mores Day. Could I have chosen a better day!? So in honor of this holiday and my first blogiversary, I made these unbelievable brown butter s’mores blondies. I used a base blondie recipe, then added some new elements to set these over the edge!
These are technically ‘Chocolate Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats with Mint M&M’s and White Chocolate Drizzle’, but I didn’t want to get carried away with the name. It might take away from how crazy delicious these are. Also, you could make a hundred different variations of these. Any cereal, any candy, and any drizzle. The marshmallows are the glue that hold this masterpiece together though, so you probably don’t want to sub those out (and why would you want to?).
Lemon Bars are one of those always good, traditional dessert items. They don’t seem that exciting, but it’s something that everyone seems to love. I felt like they needed to be exciting though. What if, I had the best husband ever that randomly bought me the Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook?! Fortunately for me, that is a true statement. And because of that, you are now getting Birthday Cake Crumble on these lemon bars! See, everybody wins.
The first week returning to work after the holiday is so hard! I feel like this was the longest week ever. I wish I was one of those people that gets restless on a vacation, and then just kills it the first week back. Mmm nope. But the vacation is always worth it, isn’t it (…that was not a question).
I love those classic, simple recipes that you can put a MILLION twists on. One of those is Rice Krispies Treats. For a holiday version, I made these Peppermint Bark Rice Krispies awhile back, and man were they good! I think you can use pretty much any kind of cereal, plus delicious add-ins like chocolate or peanut butter, and then, you can top it with melted chocolate and candies or sprinkles (the options are endless).
It was only a matter of time before I made some Buckeye Blondies, let’s be honest. I mean, how perfect right? Not only are they appropriate for this blog’s name, they are DEEELICIOUS. Don’t ask questions, just make them. Seriously. Or wait a few days – I’m sure you have a surplus of candy at the moment. Or! Just add the leftover candy bars right into the blondies! Brilliant.
