Description
A fillet de poisson is derived from the French term filet, which means thread or strip in English.
We’ll be looking at how to prepare and cook Gortons Fish Fillets in a Cosori air fryer or any other brand you want. For today’s meal, I only used Gortons brand fish fillets; there will be no difference if you use any other fish fillets; just the size of your fillets will affect the cooking time.
Ingredients
- Optional tartar sauce
Instructions
- Begin by layering your Gortons fish fillets on an air fryer tray in a single layer to help them crisp.
- You won’t need to use any cooking spray if your Gortons breaded fish contains fat or oil.
- The tray with the fish fillets should now be placed in the top rack position of your air fryer, as it is closest to the heating element.
- At 350 degrees F, air fried your Gortons fish fillets for around 5 minutes.
-
Flip your fillets over after 5 minutes and return the tray containing the fish to the top rack position.
-
Continue to air fry your fillets at 350°F for another 7 minutes.
-
To make sure your fish fillets are done, use your kitchen thermometer to see if the internal temperature has reached 145 degrees F.
-
Then your Gortons fillets are done; otherwise, give it a little more time.
-
While your fish fillets are cooking, make your tartar sauce by whisking together the mayonnaise and pickles.
-
Finally, remove your Gortons fish filelts from the air fryer and serve them with tartar sauce and a squeeze of lemon on top.
Notes
The best technical way to ensure that your fish is thoroughly cooked is to use a kitchen thermometer to ensure that it has reached a minimum safe internal temperature of 145F.
