Description

This Shamrock Shake recipe is a replica of the popular one from McDonald’s! Ice cream, milk, and mint are combined, and everything is perfectly creamy. You can now prepare a mint milkshake, often known as a Shamrock Shake, at home any time of the year, so there’s no need to wait until St. Patrick’s Day!

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • ice cream, vanilla, 1 1/2 cups
  • 6/3 cups whole milk
  • 1 drop of the green gel food dye (see note)
  • 1/8 teaspoon essence of mint
  • as a garnish

Cream cheese (store bought or make your own)

  • 1 tablespoon of green salt
  • Maraschino cherries, two

Instructions

Method Shake the bottle:

Blend milk, vanilla ice cream, and food coloring in a blender. Until smooth, blend.

Split it between two glasses:

Evenly divide the milkshake mixture between two glasses.

Decorate it and serve: Add whipped cream, candy bits, and a cherry on the top. straws are recommended but not necessary.

Notes

  • One lentil-sized drop of gel-based food coloring is adequate to color two milkshakes. Food colour that is based in water is less concentrated. Depending on the desired color, you might need to use about 1 teaspoon of water-based or liquid food coloring.
