Description
Sophisticated crab meat in a creamy filling is baked inside soft salmon fillets for a delicious Crab Stuffed Salmon meal. The salmon comes out tasting like it was prepared in a five-star seafood restaurant, with a crunchy Panko crust and a savory filling. Salmon should be cooked for at least 15 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 130 degrees Fahrenheit (55 degrees Celsius) is reached. Discard what is left after serving and enjoying the last mouthful (do not re-refrigerate).
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs salmon fillets (6 salmon fillets, 4 oz each)
- 4 ounces of cream cheese
- 1 big egg
- 1.5 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1.5 tsp lemon pepper
- 1.5 teaspoon paprika (plus a bit to add on top afterwards) (plus a pinch to sprinkle on top later)
- 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper (to taste)
- 6 ounces crab meat (canned, drained of water)
- 2 TSP Panko breadcrumbs (or plain breadcrumbs)
- 1 teaspoon of fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 1 Teaspoon green onion (finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup of Parmesan (freshly grated, plus a little extra to put on top)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the egg, cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon pepper, paprika, salt, and pepper. Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and toss until uniform.
- Ingredients: 4 ounces of cream cheese, 1 large egg, 1.5 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoons of salt, 1.5 teaspoons of pepper, 1.5 teaspoon of lemon pepper.
- Stir in the panko, green onion, and parsley to the crab mixture. Fold the ingredients in gently and gradually until they are evenly distributed.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. When everything is mixed together, put the crab mixture in the fridge for around 30 minutes.
- Put a baking sheet in a preheated oven and set the temperature to 350 degrees F. (175 degrees Celsius).
- With a sharp knife, slash each fillet in half lengthwise, creating a hole in the center (careful cut halfway through but not all the way.)
- Using a small spoon, transfer the mixture to the salmon fillets, and then arrange the remaining fillets on top, symmetrically. Sprinkle additional paprika on top, if desired.
- Cook in an oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) for 15 to 18 minutes. Put the fillets under the broiler for just a minute or two before they are done cooking for a delicious crisp finish.
- Take it out of the oven and, if you like, sprinkle some freshly grated Parmesan cheese and parsley on top. Quickly dish it out.
