Description
Because each air fryer cooks differently, keep an eye on the sandwich to ensure it doesn’t burn. Alternatively, if you want to make sure it’s fully cooked, simply add more time. If you slice your cheese thickly, it will take more cooking time at a lower temperature to completely melt the cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 slices bread
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) butter
- 1.5 oz. (43 g) good melting cheese (American, swiss, cheddar, Gruyere, etc.)
Instructions
- Place the cheese between the slices of bread. Butter the outside of the bread. Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket. If necessary, secure the sandwich together with two toothpicks inserted through the sandwich.
- For the cheese to melt, air fry at 360°F for about 3-5 minutes.
- To finish and crisp the bread, flip the sandwich and raise the heat to 380°F. Finish air frying for about 5 minutes, or until the sandwich is the texture you prefer. Check on the sandwich frequently to ensure it does not burn (different breads will toast quicker or slower than others). Allow to cool slightly before biting into the delectable grilled cheese sandwich!
