Description
Frozen Crab cakes are best savored when made with fresh crab flesh since they are sweet yet sour, flaky yet creamy, and delicious. However, I don’t always have enough time to go out and get fresh crab flesh before making homemade crab cakes. As a result, I normally just buy frozen crab cakes from the grocery store.
Ingredients
-
Frozen crab cakes
Instructions
-
Make careful to thaw the crab cakes in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours before baking them, since this will cut down on the cooking time dramatically.
-
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
Lightly oil a baking tray with melted butter.
-
Place the thawed crab cakes on the baking sheet, making sure to brush the tops of each with melted butter.
-
Place the baking sheet on the center rack of the oven and bake the crab cakes until golden brown and heated through.
-
After baking the crab cakes, broil them for a minute or two to make them crispier
Notes
-
Cooking time for thawed crab cakes is 20 to 30 minutes, whereas cooking time for frozen crab cakes is 40 minutes or somewhat longer. Make careful to use a thermometer to check the internal temperature. The temperature should be at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
