Her simple spaghetti recipe became viral after she shared it on Tiktok and Instagram, and I can assure you that it is well worth the buzz. To learn how to prepare Gigi Hadid’s Spicy Vodka Sauce, keep reading (spice and vodka optional).

 

 


Ingredients

For the Pasta

  • 8 oz shells pasta

  • Water

  • salt

Gigi Hadid Pasta Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (original recipe calls for 1/4 cup, so you can use more if preferred)

  • 1 clove garlic minced

  • 1 shallot minced

  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (plus more for serving)

  • 1/4 cup tomato paste

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon vodka (you can omit this ingredient)

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)

For Serving

  • chopped basil


Instructions

Cook the Pasta

  1. A large pot of water should be brought to a boil. Season with a pinch of salt.

  2. Cook until the pasta is al dente. (Once the pasta is cooked, do not discard the water.)

  3. Strain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid.

Make Gigi Hadid Sauce

  1. You may make the sauce while the pasta is cooking. Add the oil, garlic, and shallot to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until the mixture is aromatic.

  2. Add the tomato paste and red pepper flakes. Cook for approximately 2 minutes.

  3. Combine the heavy cream, vodka sauce, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Reduce the heat to low and cook for around 10-15 minutes.

  4. Allow the butter to melt in the sauce. Combine the butter and the sauce in a mixing bowl.

Make Gigi Hadid Pasta

  1. Add the pasta and the reserved pasta water to the skillet.

  2. Add Parmesan cheese, and cook on medium heat until the sauce has thickened.

  3. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with chopped basil, more parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Serve warm and enjoy!

 

Notes

  • To make Gigi Hadid Pasta without vodka, simply leave out the vodka and proceed with the recipe as written.
  • You can substitute regular milk for the heavy cream if you don’t want to use it. Keep in mind that your pasta will not be as creamy.
  • Cook your pasta until al dente, as you’ll be cooking it more with the sauce.
  • For a non-spicy Gigi Hadid pasta, leave out the red pepper flakes.
  • In the original recipe, Gigi Hadid used shell pasta, but you can use any type you like, such as penne or macaroni.
  • To make it vegan, substitute soy milk for the heavy cream. You will also need vegan butter
