It’s ideal for college students, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and anyone who needs a little boost to get through the celebration.

A “VEGAS BOMB” IS WHAT?

A royal flush shot, which contains (affiliate link) Crown Royal, is the basis for the cocktail known as a “Vegas bomb.” Cranberry juice, peach schnapps, and royal whiskey were added to an energy drink. It most likely takes its name from Las Vegas’ all-night party atmosphere.

The shot glass is dropped into the giant glass, creating a massive splash similar to that of an Irish car bomb or Jäger bomb, which is why it is dubbed a “bomb.”

WHY IS THIS VEGAS BOMB UNIQUE?

Although Red Bull energy drink is used in most vegas bomb recipes, I wanted to try something a little more clean and natural (which is ridiculous in a cocktail, I know). You can choose whatever matches your diet; I chose a zero-calorie energy drink made with green tea and stevia.

HOW TO PREPARE A VEGAS BOMB COCKTAIL

  • In a shot glass, pour Crown Royal, then set it aside.
  • Mix the energy drink with cranberry juice and peach schnapps in a giant pint glass. You might not require the entire energy drink.
  • Pour the energy drink into the shot glass, then consume it immediately.

WHAT KIND OF GLASS IS IDEAL FOR A VEGAS BOMB?

When serving this cocktail, I prefer to use thick, sturdy glasses. Therefore, I selected a big, wide-mouthed pint glass for my energy drink and a small, substantial shot glass for the shot.

If you wanted more alcohol, you could use a more prominent shot glass and scale up the shot ingredients proportionately. For example, my shot glass only contains approximately 1.5 ounces.

WHERE SHOULD I PLACE THE SHOT IN THE GLASS?

Since you’re technically dropping a glass into another glass and don’t want it to break, I advise dropping your shot from the rim of the glass and not much higher. Holding the shot slightly over the energy drink, release it.

DOES THIS BEVERAGE SPILL ANYWHERE?

When making the shot, be aware that there may be a sizable splash when you drop it into the tall glass. Make a vegas bomb outside or on a surface that is simple to clean.

WHAT TO PUT IN YOUR VEGAS BOMB?

Rather than being sipped carefully, this beverage is meant to be consumed swiftly. The most straightforward approach to ensure that your energy drink stays effervescent and that you get all the caffeine and alcohol you need at once is to do this.

When you want a sip, remember that you dropped a heavy shot glass into the giant glass to prevent hitting yourself in the face! Always drink responsibly, designate a driver or arrange a ride-sharing service if you’re going somewhere.

ADVICE FOR MODIFYING A VEGAS BOMB

  • Instead of dividing the Crown Royal, cranberry juice, and peach schnapps as indicated in the recipe, pour them all into an oversized shot glass.
  • A splash of Malibu rum was added.
  • Add the components for the shot to the energy drink and exclude the “bomb.”
  • Use Red Bull or your preferred energy beverage.
  • Before adding them to the shot glass and pouring the energy drink in, shake your shot ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker if you prefer everything to be ice cold.
  • You can eyeball the liquor amounts or change them to suit your preferences and tolerance.
  • Substitute butterscotch schnapps for the peach schnapps.

Try flavored carbonated water instead of the energy drink if you can’t consume caffeine.
