HOW TO MAKE MUSTARD CREAM SAUCE
- To begin, roast your sesame seeds until golden and fragrant in a dry skillet or frying pan over medium high heat. Remove the pan from the heat. *DO NOT FORGET TO COMPLETE THIS STEP.
- In a blender or food processor bowl, combine the toasted sesame seeds, soy sauce, ground mustard (mixed with 1 teaspoon water), and garlic powder. Combine for 15 to 30 seconds, or until smooth.
- Bring the heavy cream to a moderate simmer in a small saucepan, then stir in the sesame seed, soy, and mustard combination. Cook, stirring periodically, for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until completely cooked through.
- Remove from the heat and serve immediately.
STORING & RE-HEATING YOUR MUSTARD CREAM SAUCE
Sauce may be stored in an airtight container for up to 7 days, but is best if used within the first 3 to 5 days.
To reheat your mustard sauce, combine sauce and ¼ cup heavy whipping cream in a small saucepan. Heat over low until heated through completely. Stir while heating and before serving.
