Full slab ribs and short ribs are the two main types of beef ribs. Here is the finest explanation of the ABC’s of Rib Cuts! Full slab ribs work best for BBQ ribs. Braised Boneless Short ribs (omg, truly melt in your mouth ribs with a wine/chocolate sauce) is one of the most common ways to prepare short ribs.

Beef back ribs aren’t as popular as pig ribs, but if you can’t find them, ask the butcher or someone in the meat department at your local supermarket. They’ll easily be able to chop some for you.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Baked Beef Ribs

These ribs will be transformed into a luscious and juicy supper in your oven, but don’t forget to preheat it first! It is critical that your ribs are cooked on time.

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the food. Before you begin, preheat your oven to 350°F (176°C) to ensure that the ribs are cooked to perfection. Set aside a large baking tray lined with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Rinse the beef ribs thoroughly. 3 pounds beef ribs, rinsed in cold water and well dried with paper towels Then, for preparation, arrange them on a large plate or plastic cutting board.
  3. Prepare. Pull the membrane from the underside of each rib if desired. To begin, loosen the membrane using a butter knife. Then peel the membrane away from you with your hand or a paper towel. Next, cut each rib apart, cutting between each bone as you go down the rib rack.
  4. Season. Coat each rib in dry seasoning, being sure to completely cover each piece. There’s no need for additional oil because beef ribs have a higher fat content, which will render and keep the meat moist and juicy.
  5. Bake. Bake the ribs for 1 hour on the baking tray you’ve prepared. Use this time to prepare your sides and, if you’re preparing it from scratch, your homemade sauce.
  6. ‘Sauce ’em up,‘ as the saying goes. Remove the ribs from the oven after one hour. Raise the temperature to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (232 degrees Celsius). Drizzle one cup of your favorite or homemade BBQ sauce over your ribs, being sure to cover every inch.
  7. Cook the ribs until they are caramelized. Return the ribs to the oven for another 10-15 minutes at 450°F (232°C), or until the sauce starts to boil and look fantastic. Make sure the ribs don’t burn by keeping an eye on them.
  8. Serve and have fun. Before serving, remove the ribs from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.

STORING & REHEATING

REFRIGERATING

These ribs can be preserved in the fridge for 3-4 days if placed in an airtight container or wrapped in foil. But they’re so tasty that you’ll have devoured them all by then!

FREEZING
Place the thoroughly cooled ribs in an airtight container, double wrapped in plastic wrap or heavy-duty foil, to enjoy later. After that, they can be frozen and kept for up to two months.

REHEATING
Wrap the leftover ribs in foil and reheat until hot and sizzling in the oven at 225°F (107°C), adding extra sauce if desired.

I don’t recommend reheating leftover beef ribs in the microwave because it can result in a dry or rubbery feel. You want to preserve these ribs as juicy as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

What temp should beef ribs be cooked at?

The beef should be extremely soft on the inside. Take an internal temperature reading instead: the ribs are done when they hit 203°F. Allow for at least 30 minutes of resting time before serving. Beef ribs are served bone-in, but they’re perfect for sharing.

How long does it takes to cook ribs at 350 degrees?

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C). In a baking dish, bake ribs for 1 hour in a preheated oven. Return the ribs to the oven and bake until the sauce bubbles and the ribs are cooked, about 1 hour.

Should I wrap my beef ribs in foil?

Because I’m trying to get “maximum bark,” I don’t always wrap my beef ribs (like a brisket), but you can wrap them securely in unwaxed butcher paper (or foil) at the 170 internal temperature mark, which will take around 6 hours. Continue to smoke the ribs until the meat between the bones is tender to the touch.

How do you keep beef ribs from drying out?

Dry ribs can be saved with moist, mild heat and a wet vinegary sauce. Here’s how to do it: combine your favorite BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar in a 50/50 ratio and coat the ribs with it. Wrap the ribs securely in foil and bake for about an hour at a low temperature (300°F).

how to cook beef ribs in the oven fast

Here is how to cook ribs in the Oven Fast.
1. Fill a big saucepan halfway with water to cover the ribs. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink.

2. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 425°F (220 degrees C). Combine the soy sauce, red wine, olive oil, flour, brown sugar, garlic, and curry powder in a medium mixing bowl.

3. Drain the ribs and generously cover with the sauce. Put them on a baking pan.

4. Roast for 30 minutes, or until fork tender, in a preheated oven. About halfway through, drizzle the remaining sauce over the ribs.
