HOW TO COOK ACORN SQUASH IN THE MICROWAVE
When the microwave is so much faster than the conventional oven, who needs it? When you’re having one of those stressful evenings, rely on technology to assist you in quickly preparing dinner. Your hungry family will be relieved that dinner will not be served for several hours.
- Cut the acorn squash in half and remove the seeds by cutting it in half lengthwise.
- Leave as much meat in each half of the acorn squash as feasible. After coring the acorn squash, rinse it under the faucet.
- Place the acorn squash halves in a microwave-safe basin or plate, sliced side down, with 2 tablespoons of water. Cook for 5 minutes on high in the microwave, uncovered.
