DELICIOUS & CRISPY AIR FRYER SPRING ROLL FROM FROZEN
Spring rolls are always a success when it comes to finger sandwiches, appetizers, and snacks! When you make frozen spring rolls in an air fryer, you get fabulously crispy and extremely delectable spring rolls every time! Right now, I’m craving them!
Whether we’re munching on them while watching the game or as an appetizer for a delicious Chinese meal, they’re always a hit. I also serve them as cocktail appetizers at parties, along with other finger foods.
Prepare yourself for one of the easiest meals I’ve ever shared. When you’re in a rush, your air fryer is your best friend in the kitchen.
Take a moment to appreciate how fantastic your air fryer is as well! You’ll be surprised at how adaptable they are and how well they cook a variety of foods without the use of oil. Nothing is ever oily, and the calorie count is kept low! Winning!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- This is a “do-it-yourself” recipe. Apart from an air fryer, all you’ll need are frozen spring rolls! 2 per person is generally sufficient, but if you need more, simply order extras.
- A dipping sauce can be purchased or made at home. Spring rolls with duck sauce, sweet and sour sauce from scratch, Thai sweet chili sauce, or hot Chinese mustard are among my favorites. They’re also delicious just dipped in soy sauce!

WHAT TEMPERATURE TO COOK FROZEN SPRING ROLL
Because frozen spring rolls are significantly smaller than egg rolls and other frozen dishes, they cook in about 7 minutes in the air fryer.
That’s incredible, given you could cook 20 of them at once if you wanted to, and it’s also hands-free because the temperature doesn’t have to be changed.
HOW TO AIR FRY FROZEN SPRING ROLL
It’s simple to use the air fryer. However, I strongly advise that you pre-heat your air fryer for this dish. Most of the time, this is just a personal taste, but I find that my spring rolls are crispier when I take the extra step!
- Preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes at 390°F (199°C).
- Place the frozen spring rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket or on the trays, spacing them out so they don’t touch.
- For 4 minutes, air fried the spring rolls at 390°F (199°C). Turn them over and continue to air fry for another 4 minutes. Continue to fry for another 2 minutes if you prefer your spring rolls extremely crispy (as I do!).
- Remove the spring rolls from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Air Fryer Tips: Keep in mind that your air fryer model may have a different cooking time than mine, so use my instructions as a reference only, and always keep a check on your food.
Also, even though this recipe does not call for any additional oil, you should never use an aerosolized cooking spray on an air fryer.
Apply the oil with a pastry brush or a paper towel as suggested in the recipe.
HOW LONG DO YOU AIR FRY SPRING ROLLS?
Because frozen spring rolls are significantly smaller than egg rolls and other frozen dishes, they cook in about 7 minutes in the air fryer.
That’s incredible, given you could cook 20 of them at once if you wanted to, and it’s also hands-free because the temperature doesn’t have to be changed.
STORING COOKED SPRING ROLLS
It will be a rare occasion that there is any spring rolls leftover, but if you have some, wrap them in plastic wrap or foil. Place the wrapped spring rolls into an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 – 3 days.
REHEATING FRIED SPRING ROLLS
Returning your spring rolls to your air fryer is the best way to reheat them and keep them as crispy as possible. Heat for 4 to 5 minutes, or until warmed to your liking, using the same temperatures as in the recipe card below.
The second best option is to heat a frying pan or skillet with a light coating of oil over medium-high heat. Place the spring rolls in a single layer in the heated pan, leaving space between each roll. Turn as needed and heat until thoroughly warmed.
Cooked spring rolls can also be reheated in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can microwave the wrapper in 30-second intervals, but the ‘crispness’ of the wrapper will be lost.
WHY YOU WILL LOVE THIS RECIPE
- It’s quick – it takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
- It’s simple and, due to the air fryer, it cooks itself.
- There isn’t anything to clean up.
- They taste better than fried chicken – no joke!
- A healthy option is one that uses less oil.
TIPS & TRICKS
- If you cook them in more than one layer, they will become soggy. If you want to prepare a lot of them, cook them in batches.
- If your spring rolls are larger, increase the cooking time to 5 + 5 minutes, then check to see if they are warm all the way through.
- Make your own gyoza sauce or dip in your favorite sauce (my fave is a combination of sweet chili sauce and black soy sauce).
- Because these spring rolls don’t keep well once they’ve been cooked, I recommend eating them all right away!
